The short version. Browse all you like, no account needed. If you list a sale, list one that's really yours and be honest about it. We don't handle money, we're not a party to anything you buy or sell, and we can't promise a sale will actually happen. Be decent to people and don't misuse the site.
1. Agreement
These terms are between you and WeekendHaul ("we", "us"), which operates WeekendHaul. By using the site or creating an account, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use WeekendHaul.
2. Who can use WeekendHaul
You must be at least 13 to use the site and at least 18 to create a listing. If you're creating listings for a business or organisation, you confirm you're authorised to act for it.
3. Your account
Keep your login details to yourself, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into your account. You're responsible for what happens under your account. If you use our mobile app, each device you sign in on holds its own sign-in token, and you can revoke a single device or all of them from your settings. You can delete your account at any time, from the website or from inside the app.
4. Listing a sale
By publishing a listing, you confirm all of the following:
- The sale is real, and you're the person holding it or authorised by them.
- You have the right to publish the address you enter — it's your property, or you have the owner's permission.
- The dates, times, and description are accurate to the best of your knowledge.
- You own the photos you upload, or have permission to use them, and they don't show identifiable people who haven't agreed to appear.
Your listing is public. The address, dates, and times you enter appear on a public page and in search results. You can choose to hide the street number until the morning of the sale. Ended listings stay visible for about 30 days and are then removed. You can delete a listing yourself at any time.
You keep ownership of everything you post. You give us permission to display, copy, and format it so we can run the service — showing it on the map, in search results, in listing previews, and in the promotional copy and printable signs we generate for you. That permission ends when you delete the listing, except for copies already made by search engines or other people.
5. Sharing a sale
You can invite other people to help manage a sale you created. They can edit the listing, add photos, and set its day-of status — so only invite people you trust with the address and the details. You remain responsible for the listing, and you alone can take it down or change who has access. Remove someone at any time and their access ends immediately.
Do not use invitations to send unsolicited email. Invitations are rate limited and abuse will end access to the feature.
6. Listings we add
Some listings are added by us from public sources or by arrangement with organisers, to make the map useful in areas where sellers haven't found us yet. These show where they came from and carry a link to claim them. If a listing is about your sale and you didn't create it, you can claim it and take control, or ask us to remove it. We'll remove it promptly, and you don't need an account to ask.
Claiming a listing transfers it to your account. Don't claim a sale that isn't yours — claims are logged and rate-limited, and we'll reverse and suspend abuse.
7. What you may not do
- Post fake, misleading, or duplicate listings, or an address that isn't the sale's.
- List anything illegal to sell, or use WeekendHaul to advertise services rather than a sale event.
- Harass anyone, or use listing information to contact, follow, or target a seller or buyer for anything other than the sale.
- Scrape, bulk-download, or republish our listings, or use automated tools against the site beyond ordinary browsing.
- Try to break, overload, or get unauthorised access to the site.
- Post someone else's personal information.
8. What WeekendHaul is not
We are a directory of events, not a marketplace. We don't sell anything, don't process payments, don't hold items, and aren't a party to any transaction between a buyer and a seller. We don't vet sellers, verify listings, or inspect what's for sale.
Sales get cancelled, rained out, or run out of the good stuff before you arrive. Addresses get typed wrong. We do a lot to keep listings current — including automatically removing sales once their last date passes — but we can't promise a listing is accurate or that a sale will happen. Use your judgement, especially before driving a long way.
You are visiting private property at your own risk, and how you conduct yourself there is between you and the property owner.
9. Organizer profiles and the verified badge
Estate companies, flea markets, churches, and neighborhood associations can have a profile page listing their sales. Only someone we have added to that organizer's account can post a sale on its behalf. If you post as an organizer, you are confirming you are authorized to do so, and you remain responsible for the listing under these terms.
A verified badge means a person at WeekendHaul checked that the organizer is a real business or group and that the sales on the profile are theirs. It is not an endorsement, a background check, a licence check, or any promise about how a sale will be run. Section 8 applies to verified organizers exactly as it does to everyone else. We can add or remove the badge at any time.
Following an organizer only means you get an email when they post. It shares nothing about you with them beyond adding one to their follower count, and you can unfollow at any time from their page.
10. Free access and route planning
Browsing, searching, and the map are free, and all listings are visible to everyone. Paid features add convenience and never hide a listing from free users.
Route planning follows that rule. Every sale can be added to a route on a free account; what a paid plan buys is a longer route and having the driving order worked out for you. Nothing about which sales you can find or see depends on paying.
A planned route is our best guess, not a guarantee. Arrival times are estimates, sales close early and get rained out, and the driving order is optimised for distance rather than opening hours — we flag the clashes we can see, but section 8 applies to a route exactly as it does to a single listing. Sharing a route link makes it visible to anyone who has it until you turn sharing off.
11. Supply links and commissions
The seller playbook links to supplies on Amazon. Some of those links may earn us a small commission if you buy, at no extra cost to you — when that is the case it is stated plainly on the page. We are not the seller, we do not handle those orders, and we make no promise about price, availability, or quality. Suggestions are practical advice, not endorsements of a brand.
This is not advertising. We do not sell placement, no third party pays to appear on WeekendHaul, and there are no display ads anywhere on the service.
12. Reports and removals
Every listing page has a "Something wrong with this listing?" link. You do not need an account to use it, and we do not record your IP address when you do. Reports are read by a person. We may remove any listing, or suspend any account, that breaks these terms or creates a risk to someone — usually with notice, immediately if the risk is serious. A listing removed this way cannot be restored by its seller; if you think we got it wrong, email us and we'll take another look.
If you believe something on WeekendHaul infringes your copyright, send the details to hello@weekendhaul.com and we'll respond.
13. Availability
We'll try to keep WeekendHaul running, but it's provided as-is. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it. We don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
14. Disclaimers and limits
To the fullest extent the law allows, WeekendHaul is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, arising from your use of the site — including anything that happens at a sale you found here, or any dealing with another user. Where liability can't be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the past twelve months or one hundred US dollars.
Some states don't allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
15. Indemnity
If someone brings a claim against us because of something you posted or did on WeekendHaul, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the effective date above, and for material changes we'll notify account holders before they take effect. Continuing to use WeekendHaul after that means you accept the new terms.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located there.
